Welcome to Kitten Fostering 101! In this course we will be learning the basics of kitten fostering and how to get started. We will go over the importance of fostering, the different ages of kittens available for fostering as well as medical challenges you may come across while taking care of kittens. There are several informational videos that we will watch going over how to bottle feed a kitten, how to safely give a kitten a bath and how to socialize a "spicy" kitten. At the end of the class students will be introduced to my personal foster kittens and be given an opportunity to ask me questions they may have. This course is mainly structured as a lecture with google slides but the interactive Q and A will he held at the end as well as an opportunity for students to socialize with each other. Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been fostering cats and kittens since 2016 and in that time I have grown so much in my knowledge as a rescuer. I started my own nonprofit cat rescue in 2020 and we're going strong 5 years in and have saved and found homes for over 200 animals! My passion for animals along with my experience working in education makes me an ideal teacher to educate all ages on how to get started in animal welfare.
