Class experience
Rhythm--we feel it in our feet when we walk across the street. We feel it in the words that we speak. We feel it in our heartbeat. We can make music in the most simple ways, starting at the very heart of our home: the kitchen. This class is part music class, part art class, and all fun! In this 4-week flex course, aspiring drummers and percussionists will get to go on a musical exploration of reading and playing rhythms on different types of "drums" that you already have in your home. At the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of elementary rhythms-- whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes.
