In this one-time class junior chefs will take on a cooking challenge like in the TV show Chopped. They will be creating a salty snack with a mystery ingredient. This class is all about creativity, conversation and fun!

Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class students will complete a kitchen challenge with Salty Snack as the theme. The mystery ingredient students must use is popcorn! They will be allowed to use any other ingredients in their home for the rest of their dish. Students can use pre-popped or pop their own during class with adult supervision. Learners will review kitchen safety, create their masterpieces, practice conversation skills and play a famous snacks trivia game. Parentental supervision may be necessary...
Students will learn to be creative in the kitchen and practice conversation skills.
Students are required to use the mystery ingredient and provide other food items to create their dish. The mystery ingredient for this class is popcorn. They will be allowed to use any other ingredients in their home for the rest of their dish.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance may be necessary as students navigate their home kitchens.
