Description
Class Experience
- Greek mythology to include gods and heroes - The Peloponnesian, Persian, and Trojan wars - Greece’s four periods of art - The Greek philosophers - Greece’s geography
My expertise on ancient Greece comes from 3 locations: 1) I grew up loving Greek mythology and reading any of the stories I could get my hands on. 2) I took many courses such as Art History, History of Theatre, Military History, and Philosophy -- all of which included extensive units on ancient Greece. 3) I traveled for a summer through the Mediterranean and visited as many of the ancient sites as I could while fitting them around my work schedule.
1 file available upon enrollmentA two-page printout will be provided. It consists of a map and stickers to decorate the map. Students will need glue, scissors, and colored pencils/markers/crayons/some form of coloring utensil.
If we have time at the end of class, then students can test their knowledge against a trivia game.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Classes will be taught by an anime character (vtuber character) to help students suspend reality and imagine being in the locations we are discussing. A thumbnail of the actual teacher will be visible at the bottom of the screen.
