Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Summary:
The teacher will go through an interactive Kirby story. Throughout this story, the teacher will ask questions and start discussions. Students will be given the opportunity to read if they like. At the end of the story, students will go through some comprehension questions. Once students answer and agree on the answers students can draw Kirby-related things and have discussions about Kirby or other gaming-related things.

Students love learning through stories about characters they know. Students answer questions about characters, settings, problems, and solutions, and make inferences along the way. We will answer questions before, during, and after each story, and I will demonstrate how to solve each reading problem step by step.

The stories are great for all ages, especially students on the lower year levels or learning English as an additional language.

Kirby Reading Comprehension Club is a one-time class, so students sign up every week.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I mainly teach English-based classes with a focus on video games to engage learners. I have a Primary (Elementary) Education degree, making me a qualified teacher. I have an Education support staff qualification which qualifies me to teach small groups at a High School level and to appropriately teach students with various special needs. I believe students should have fun while learning, this makes students look forward to attending classes and trying their best. My love for video games has made me compete in many tournaments worldwide! Hopefully, I can give some of my students tips and tricks!
