British History boasts many interesting Kings and Queens. Yet, there are few that are more interesting, colorful and scandalous than King Henry VIII and his six wives. He married for very different reasons at different stages of his life. In this course we will study each relationship. How did these women come to know the King? What were the political factors at court at the time of their relationships. Did religion provide more conflict in these turbulent times? Who would give Henry an...
Each student will learn the history of King Henry VIII and his wives. Also, through the visual arts we will gain a deeper understanding of the king and the world that he inhabited in Renaissance England. Artistic elements will be examined here to add more knowledge about the history for students to study. Letters from the court of King Henry and some from King Henry himself will reveal hidden deeds and the nature of the King's need for a wife and a male ayr.
I have six years of experience teaching at the college level. My subjects were Art History, Art Appreciation and the Humanities.
A written report will inform students about learners progress.
