In this ongoing class we will work on many skills while having fun through play. The students will work on social skills such as taking turns talking, asking questions, and giving feedback to peers. Playing with the kinetic sand will work on fine motor skills as well as sensory. The student will be able to be creative and use their imagination on what to build while the kinetic sand. This ongoing class will be student lead. The teacher, Mrs. Courtney will have the students practice making different shapes at any given time during class. The teacher will monitor and encourage conversations between students. The teacher will encourage creativity in each student.

Parents may want to cover the keyboard to ensure that sand doesn’t accidentally get in the keys.

Kinetic sand. Small sand toys of the child wishes.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi! Welcome and thank you for showing interest in my classes. My name is Courtney Tomlinson. I hold an Associates Degree is Early Childhood Education. I worked as an Early Head Start teacher for 5 1/2 years. After that, I have been home with my babies and homeschooling Kindergarten. I’m mama to my 5-year-old daughter and my 2-year-old son. I love teaching and making it FUN! It’s just as fun for me as it is for the students to learn new skills or improve on skills. I love to dance, sing, make crafts, be silly and to read.
