Part 2 of our theme sorted language courses your child will continue to learn & draw German words. Also 8 weeks, each week we will be learning and using more vocabulary. Drawing words we learn will make this even more fun and interactive!

Class Experience

Herzlich Willkommen! Ich bin Frau Berry! I am looking forward to teaching your child beginner  German. As in the first part of this series - this class is also a week course. As a set class - we will have the same group of students learning together - progressing together, now in part 2. In this course we will continue to learn new vocabulary words and and as always in my classes, draw them. I feel confident they will learn well. We will be focusing on something different each class- adding...

My Course Curriculum will be as follows: 

Week 1 Theme: Extended conversation - Whats your name? My name is. How old are you? What are you doing? How are you feeling? 

Week 2 Theme:  More numbers - 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20! 

Week 3 Theme: extended Family - Cousins, Aunts & Uncles 

Week 4 Theme: Fruit! apple, pear, oranges, cherries, lemons, strawberry, grape, banana! 

Week 5 Theme: adjectives - soft, hard, big, small, old, young, cold, warm, loud, quiet, fast, slow! we‘ll discuss quite a few opposites! 

Week 6 Theme: The Seasons- spring, summer, fall and winter! 

Week 7 Theme: Clothes! 10 different clothing items- pants, dress, t-shirt, skirt, shorts, shoes, jacket, belt, pijamas, and socks! 

Week 8 Theme: review!  This week of review will emphasize words my students have learned these previous weeks. i aim to draw  with them what they feel they’ve learned and really connect with them.  

After this last class Students will receive a Celebration Certificate of completion and encouraged to take the next 8 week Course for continued learning. 

No experience is required, but i do recommend trying the previous class “Kinderplatz part 1 -learn and draw German class“.

As per usual - Übung macht den Meister! (Practice makes perfect!) I only ask that they repeat what they’ve learned in class. Practice drawing what we learned and writing the word in German. 

For example if we learned the word Apple on Monday - i’d like them to write it and practice  saying before Friday’s class & show me. Also if we didn’t finish drawing a picture of  ”Apfel“ i would want them to finish it & show me.

Immediate feedback - Direct praise in class. Also “Celebration Certificate of Completion“ at the end of the course!

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
