Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
Welcome to my Outschool Classroom!
I am an experienced educator. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught in public elementary schools, starting with wonderful years in 4th grade and then memorable time in Kindergarten! I enjoy all subject areas and I enjoy focusing on small-group work, allowing for more differentiation for each student. I have also taught on online platforms for 4 years, primarily ESOL for all ages, but also middle-school mathematics. I even spent 2018 in Beijing, China, working for a large education company, creating curriculum and training new teachers.
I am a mother of two young boys. In our home, we enjoy reading, bike rides, walks with our puppy, and lots of dance parties! We are an active household. We have a deep love for travel and experiencing new cultures.
In my classroom, I value learning through movement, song, and visual aids. Engagement is of high priority and all learners will have the opportunity to actively learn and participate, not only with me, but with each other.
Thank you for visiting!
See you in class!
