Description
Class Experience
In this flex class, young learners will be introduced to a variety of interesting scientific topics that are found in many primary science curriculums. Emphasis will be on building and broadening learners' knowledge of the world, increasing vocabulary and strengthening English language skills, as well as creating connections with other learners. Learners will gain a deeper appreciation for themselves and the world around them, learn new vocabulary and make meaningful connections with other learners.
I am a qualified and experienced early childhood educator, and I have experience teaching both live and online classrooms. I am also a trained English literacy tutor, and I create lessons that are rich in vocabulary, phonetic and literacy awareness. I am also a special education assistant, and I welcome diverse learners into my classes. Each week, learners will be given a worksheet, a drawing activity, or a craft to complete. I will demonstrate how to complete each activity, and each activity will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Learners will be invited to upload pictures of their completed projects to share with their classmates.
One worksheet will be provided each week. Simple craft supplies, such as construction paper, paper plates, markers, glue sticks and scissors. Young learners may need assistance cutting simple shapes out of paper.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
