Class Experience

Calling all rising Kindergartners! In this ongoing class, the student will be able to learn all about different kindergarten skills by using a different letter subject every week. Day one will focus on reading and writing and day two is all about Math. In this ongoing boot camp, the rising kindergartner will feel more confident going into kindergarten or if they need a review.

I believe in teaching by interacting with my student, and as a professional online teacher, I know that capturing a student's attention while being on a screen can be tricky I feel like I have the ability to do so by involving your child in the classroom. I believe that learning should be a mixture of fun and education.

(How the class is structured)
The class will begin with 5 minutes of introductions. Each student will be greeted, asked the day's question, and have the opportunity to share anything they would like. This allows each student to build their confidence in the class and gives them the chance to socialize.
Once the class has begun, I keep the students muted during the lesson time. This improves the students' sound quality and eliminates background noises or echoes. Each student is encouraged to raise their hand whenever they have a question or wants to say something. Depending on the lesson, there will be times for the students to have group discussions and answer questions together as a class.
Once the lesson has concluded and time is permitted, I allow 2-3 minutes after the class for everyone to be unmuted and give the students time to socialize!

Each day will have a new topic! The schedule will be:
Day 1- Phonics, Day 2- Reading, Day 3- Math, Day 4- Geography (we will travel the world virtually!), Day 5- Science

Hello, friends, and welcome! My name is Teacher Ashley. Let me tell you a bit about me!

Teaching is my passion. I am fully qualified to teach English and early elementary school. I have been teaching for 8 years privately and online for 2 years. I have experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, complete beginners, and children of all ages. I started my teaching journey by teaching students in China, France, and Panama, how to speak English. With the rise of the pandemic, I moved my classes online and began teaching students my academic curriculum from preschool to third grade.

I love to motivate my students and make learning a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I always aim to make my classes comfortable and allow my students to express themselves and have more talk time to build confidence. I always come prepared with props and toys that relate to my student’s interests. You might say that I am Elsa and Spidermans biggest fans!

My lessons are always energetic, filled with engaging activities, and most importantly, my classes are beneficial to my students. I use various teaching strategies, props, flashcards, and fun games. All of my tools can be used for online learning or in person. I teach using TPR (Total Physical Response) and Communicative Approach to better conduct my student’s experience.

My mission is to make sure that all of your child’s learning needs will be met. I make this possible through the curriculum I designed, proper preparation, and interaction with my students.

I am looking forward to meeting you!
