Assignments
1 hour per week. Any skill that needs to be practiced outside of the tutoring class will be discussed with the student and parents. I will provide teaching methods to the parents to better assist their child.Certificate of Completion

US Grade Preschool - 1
In this one-on-one kindergarten tutoring class, I can help your child learn how to read, learn letter names, and learn letter sounds. I will teach them sight word memorization and how to blend letters sounds together to form words. We will also cover spelling and language skills. I use the scaffolding method, in which I will model the skills, then I will provide guided practice- in which I will help the students as they try it on their own, then the students will independently practice the skills for me to informally assess. I will repeat the modeling and guided process as many times as needed for the student to catch onto each skill! This class will be taught through slides, games, video clips, and visuals.

As a kindergarten teacher for eight years, 1st grade for one year, and 2nd grade for one year, I have a strong Phonics and Reading background. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
