A weekly maths class for essential kindergarten or year 1/2 maths skills. An experienced teacher will cover the first part of the maths curriculum. Examples of topics include number bonds to ten, part-whole models, addition & subtraction sentences, shape recognition and lots more!

Description

Class Experience

An ongoing class by an experienced early years teacher to cover the kindergarten or year 1 full maths curriculum. Each week we will have a different focus and we will use a range of resources to learn in a fun and practical way.

Children will learn the composition of numbers to 10 through using part- whole models, number bonds, ten frames etc. We will look at how we can represent numbers in different ways. Children will learn to sort and compare different objects, recognise 2d and 3d shapes...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
