In this transitional class, skills and objectives follow Kinder and 1st Grade Common Core State Standards. Students will learn catchy reading and writing strategies, we will blend & segment words, and students will be introduced to 1st grade English Language grammar. Students will learn digraphs, sight words, and blends with characters, chants, and videos. *knows most of their letter names and sounds (j says juh)
*knows some small sight words (a, the, of, and)
*can read and write some basic CVC words (H/O/P = hop)
