As a certified elementary teacher with over 20 years experience helping children learn reading, writing and math skills, I am offering private tutoring sessions now.  I will work with your child 1:1 to help them prepare for entry into Kindergarten.  As a former Kindergarten teacher and presently a Grade 1 teacher, I know exactly what they need to know to be successful in Kindergarten. We will work on letter and sound identification, number recognition, colour words, sight words, phonics, and how to print our name, the list is endless.  Before class, I will contact you to find out where your child's specific needs are and what type of class you would like me to focus on. My teaching style is patient and encouraging, using lots of activities on slides and games. I will personalize the class for your child! I will schedule weekly ongoing sessions, but if there is a time that you would like to request that isn't on my schedule, please contact me and I will work something out for you!
