This is a class to get your child ready for kindergarten! We will learn sight words, phonics, word families, calendar concepts and math. We will have show and tell to have your child practice their social skills. Our learning is focused on a specific theme each week.
Class experience
This is a circle-time type class, where students are encouraged to talk and participate! We will be learning a different theme each week. The themes are listed below. All learning for that week will be focused on that theme. We will be learning different subjects that are related to the pre-kindergarten/kindergarten age such as: sight words, phonics, word families and math. The students will be able to have show and tell each week to become more involved in their learning! We will sing songs...
This class is taught in English.
Each week, students will learn kindergarten material such as phonics, sight words, 3d shapes and more. They will be able to talk about the monthly theme with the teacher. They will be able to have a show and tell where they will share an item that is about the theme for the week. They will be able to introduce themselves to the teacher. They will be able to answer questions about our weekly theme.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching children for over 10 years. I have worked at various preschools, the last being the lead teacher of a 3-5 year aged classroom. I have been homeschooling my two preschoolers the last two years. I have worked as an online ESL teacher for the last year, working mainly with younger children.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
