Kindergarten STEAM Activities
In class children will learn about buildings that exist in their community, children will also learn the purpose of those buildings, and who they would meet in schools, hospitals, libraries etc. each week a new building will be introduced.

Students will be taught STEM activities using the Montessori teaching method. The theme of this month will cover buildings. All open-ended activities will cover topics around structures and buildings. Children will complete small activities and 1 special project which will circle around the theme structures. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about their community, and gain knowledge in identifying the names of buildings ( high-rise, low-rise, banks, schools, library's etc). Children will also learn different sections of the buildings (top floor, lower floor, basement). Lastly, children will learn the purpose these buildings serve us.
- Paint: Brown, black, red, white - Construction Paper - Card stock Paper - 3D Box - Paints - Paintbrush - Small Boxes - Paper Bags - Markers - Glue - Scissors - Large piece of paper (11.5 x 17) - Sketching Utensils
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class will be required to use scissors. Please ensure that children have supervision, and safety scissors. Parents will be required to assist children during class.
