Class Experience

Spell and write while keeping your child's academic skills sharp with weekly themed units!

Each week students will engage in a fun theme that includes:
*A story or article
*A spelling list of 3 words 
*Grammar and Punctuation exercises
*Writing skills
*Friday spelling test with comprehension questions 

Each activity page provides meaningful spelling and writing practice.
Each theme ends with an assessment (Friday Spelling Test) and with 3-4 questions presented in standardized test format.
Students will spell their words write them down on paper and send to Teacher Cassie for grading and feedback! :)

Students will work with a small group and the teacher to complete the daily activity.
Monday: Students will be introduced to their new words and practice writing their new words
Tuesday-Thursday: activities to go along with their weekly theme
Friday: Spelling test and 3-4 comprehension questions.

Please note these days with (****)will be video recorded days sent with directions and no live class held!

These skills and concepts presented in the weekly themes are grade appropriate and are aligned to national and state standards. The standardized-style assessment pages are an integral part of the series, helping to build your child's confidence with test-question formats.

Students will print out their theme sheets prior to each class, students will not work ahead, but work with their classmates and teacher to complete activities. Small assignments after class will also be assigned.
