In this interactive class, your child will be introduced to their 5 senses (sight, sound, taste, smell and touch). This class will run for a total of 3 days and we will learn two senses the first two days and on the last day, we will learn about our last sense and we will do a review. After each class, I will provide an activity or an...
Students will have an opportunity to learn about each of their five senses. They will learn how they work and how they keep us safe. Students will also be introduced to great describing words.
After each class, I will provide activities that can be done to further practice learning about their 5 senses at home. These activities are optional, but can be a great way to supplement their daily learning.
All materials are optional but can be useful and engaging during the class. Day 1 ~ please bring an instrument or something that will make a sound. Day 2 ~ please bring something that your child can taste and something that he/she can smell. You may use one object for both taste and smell (ex. an orange can be used for both taste and smell) Day 3 ~ please bring to class something: soft hard scratchy (sandpaper) smooth bumpy If you don’t have all of these textures, that is perfectly fine! Just bring what you can.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
