In this class, we will enjoy different circle time activities and sight words. We will begin each class with Calendar Math. ( Days of the week song) We will sing the alphabet song and review 2 letter sounds weekly. Learners will be introduced to 3 sight words weekly. We will spell and chant each word during each meeting. Learners will be given a task to write their sight words on index cards and color each word for homework (optional) Week of October 25th: Quick greeting Calendar math counting -We will begin counting by 1's and work our way to counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's Alphabet song, Jack Hartman and Freeze Dance (one each session) 2 letter sounds 2 sight words (chant, spell, and write) Clay activity Watercolors Week of November 1st: Quick greeting Calendar math shapes and counting Alphabet song review letter sounds and sight words 2 letter sounds 2 sight words (chant, spell, and write) Clay activity Watercolors Week of November 8th: Quick greeting Calendar Math 3 sight words Letters and two sounds Greater than and less than 2 letter sounds 2 sight words (chant, spell, and write) Clay activity Watercolors Week of November 15th: Calendar Math 3 sight words Reading comprehension and sequencing Letters and sounds Tens and ones 2 letter sounds 2 sight words (chant, spell, and write) Clay activity Watercolors Learners will have the opportunity to interact with each other and show and tell their favorite toy etc. Learners should have a printer, paper, and pencil Printable worksheets are provided by the teacher weekly.
