In this class, we will cover the following topics: -letter identification -letter sounds -numbers -counting (rote/one to one correspondence) -simple addition/subtraction (1-10) -writing -vowels -beginning CVC words -sorting -patterns and More! Students will learn kindergarten skills including counting, writing numbers, letters, sounds, letter writing, beginning sounds, rhyming, etc.
I will be a certified educator as of December 2021. However, I have completed all of the necessary coursework to teach this class.
There won’t typically be homework, just anything we may not have gotten to in class they can finish.
Please put together a bag/bin of general supplies: - paper (lined/unlined) - sharpened pencils - coloring utensils (markers, crayons, colored pencils) -scissors (parental supervision is required) - glue stick - small objects to count/sort (ex: beads, pennies, playdoh) - whiteboard (or paper in Ziploc bag) - dry erase marker * If a child is using a tablet/iPad (pen/stylus) may be useful but not necessary * ** Specific printouts will be available ahead of time.
The learner’s progress with be assessed through informal assessments through out the sessions.
