Class Experience

Is your child showing an interest in reading?  Do they know their letters and sounds?  Then I am here to help them on their journey to becoming a reader.  I am a Kindergarten teacher and I have lots of experience teaching children how to read.  We will begin with learning to read sight words. Sight words are the words that appear most frequently in our reading and writing.  They are often words that are difficult to sound out and therefore simply need to be memorized. Students will be able to recognize sight words.
Students will practice spelling the words.
Students will practice writing the words.
Students will review the words through an interactive game.
Students will review the words through songs and chants.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
