Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Hey there, Families!

Thanks for checking out my class!

What Makes This Course Shine?

-Armed with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, a Master's in Reading, and over 12 years of teaching fun in kindergarten, first, and third grades.
-Proficiency in classroom management techniques emphasizing positive reinforcement within a student-centered learning framework.
-Crafted vibrant and engaging class spaces to supercharge student confidence.
-Serving up weekly curriculum goodies customized for every lesson, topped with handy reminder emails (just don't forget to hit print!). :)
-This is an all inclusive classroom, where every kiddo gets the star treatment.
-No strings attached - jump into classes anytime without breaking a sweat!

Each class with begin with our opening song: "Hello Neighbor." Students will have the opportunity to sing along and show off their best dance moves! Students will then be asked an ice-breaker question to provide opportunity to share and practice social skills.

The beginning of each class session will involve our calendar routine, fostering learning in counting, number identification, days of the week, months of the year, patterns, and various other skills.
The weekly schedule will be similar to the following- but subject to change based on needs of learners:

Weekly Schedule Overview:

June 3: Welcoming session with introductions and letter recognition activities
June 10: Continued focus on letter recognition activities
June 17: Exploration of patterning techniques
June 24: Study of shapes and sorting based on color and size
July 1: Engaging in letter and sound recognition exercises
July 8: Introduction to safe handling of scissors, incorporating cutting and gluing activities
July 15: Practice in writing numbers from 0 to 10
July 22: Participation in counting games
July 29: Reading CVC words and composing simple sentences
August 5: Learning shoe-tying techniques and an end-of-summer celebration.

This class will be upbeat, engaging and full of learning. I am a calm and patient teacher who works hard to meet the needs of all learners. Therefore, each week will have a "main topic", but the needs of students will be put above all.

This class is ongoing and you can enroll whenever you choose, even if you didn't attend the previous class.
Students will be provided with printable materials each week. Please have materials readily available.

I look forward to meeting your learner!
