In this course, we will focus on kindergarten readiness skills for Math. Each session is 40 minutes and it will be packed full of fun and engaging ways to practice a wide variety of skills that will prepare them for their first year in school! Below is an outline of the topics and skills we will be working on over the course of this class. At the beginning of each session we will: 1. Practice number recognition for numbers 1-10 using flashcards and other fun activities 2. Counting to 20 with a song or interactive video 3. Practice writing 2 specific numbers from 1-10 Each week I will focus on a different skill. The skills that will be addressed are as follows: Week of July 12-16: Counting groups of objects for 1-10 Week of July 19-23: Matching groups of objects to their associated numbers: 1-10 Week of July 26-30: Write numbers 1-10 in order and identify groups of objects as more than or less than Week of August 2-6: Addition to 5 using pictures and numbers Week of August 9-13: Subtraction to 5 using pictures and numbers Week of August 16-20: Identify and draw 2D shapes- square, circle, triangle, rectangle, rhombus
Learning Goals
Students will learn to identify and write numbers 1-10, count to 20, count groups of objects for numbers 1-10, and match groups of objects to their associated number. Students will also learn to identify and draw 2D shapes, add and subtract to 5 using pictures and numbers, and identify groups of objects as more than and less than.

External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
