Class Experience

What are sight words? Sight words are high-frequency words or words that appear often in a text, that your child can recognize immediately without having to sound them out. Many sight words are spelled differently than how they sound, so recognizing these words will help your child become a faster, more fluent reader. In this ongoing class, we will learn 3 sight words each week. Students will learn how to spell these words in a memory game. We will then practice writing them using pencil and...

Students may bring a pencil and paper to class to practice writing sight words.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
