In this 6 week course students will practice skills to help them succeed and be confident in kindergarten. Some topics covered will be letter and number recognition and self help skills such as opening food packages and zipping zippers.

1 hour per week. Homework is optional but strongly encouraged to help with these skills that will be heavily used in kindergarten. Homework is self paced and is: color in a coloring book and practice cutting with scissors with an adult.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this class we will practice letter and number recognition as well as independent skills such as opening food packages, buttoning, zipping, fixing sleeves, and tying shoes. This will be an interactive class that will begin each week with a read aloud story to introduce letters or numbers. Then we will sing a song to practice letter or numbers play a letter or number game to reinforce what we've been learning. Last, we will practice an independent skill. Each week we will review letters and numbers. I love to make learning fun and a game to help students love learning! I strongly encourage coloring on your own to strengthen pencil group and improve control. I also encourage scissor practice with an adult. Practice holding scissors correctly and cutting straight and curved lines. Your child can draw the lines first then cut them.

Count: 1-20 / song
Play: Number Kaboom!
Practice: Fixing inside out coat sleeves *(you will need a coat) 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Practice letters and numbers
Read: R is for Rocket
Sing: ABC song
Count: 1-20 / song
Play: Count 20 Legos then build something *(you will need Legos or similar blocks)
Practice: Buttons & zippers * (you will need a sweater or jacket with buttons and zippers) 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Practice letters and numbers
Read: Over in the Meadow
Sing: ABC song letter sounds
Count: 1-20 / song
Play: Play Doh numbers *(you will need Play Doh)

Parental Guidance
Play Doh may contain wheat, which could cause and allergic reaction in ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
