In this hour-long ongoing kindergarten class & summer camp that meets daily, Ms. Katie will lead the students through interactive, hands on learning of ELA, Math, Social Studies, & Science, including incorporation of music, movement, & art.

Class Experience
-Increase student knowledge in core subjects while having fun, while using methods of hands-on learning with art, music & science experiments to create the neural connection for retention.
Katie is an energetic and experienced teacher, both in liberal arts and performing arts subject areas! She is a New York University Graduate (Cum Laude) with a Major in Drama. Katie has worked as an NJ substitute teacher for 4 years, teaching grades K-12 and has spent several years teaching the performing arts throughout New Jersey (Elefante Music, Gaslamp Players, Vanguard Theater Company). With over 7 years of childcare experience, she knows the importance of having fun and being creative with the learning process. Katie values movement, games, and art as irreplaceable tools that she uses throughout all her lessons. She believes that whether working through math homework, learning to read, taking a voice lesson, learning dance combinations, or playing group games, kids should always be given the tools they need. Students deserve to expand upon their abilities in a productive, nurturing environment that promotes a sense of joy! Katie looks forward to helping all her students grow, while expanding their views on how fun and rewarding learning can be.
2 files available upon enrollmentGeneral daily class supplies needed: Scissors Blank Paper Printouts Pencil Coloring Items (markers, or crayons, or colored pencils) Glue Supply box (optional, keeps all supplies together and easy to access) Weekly science experiment and art supply lists provided upon enrollment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
5 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please monitor and help your child with scissor usage. Science and art projects can be messy - please be prepared!
