US Grade Kindergarten
Is your little one ready to learn the letters of the alphabet? In this class, students will learn a letter of the alphabet each day along with beginning phonics skills. Students will learn the names of each letter, the sounds of each letter, and different words that start with each letter. Students will learn through chanting, singing, pictures, activities, and repetition. I will instruct students on how to write each letter correctly, and they will have an opportunity to practice tracing each letter as well as completing an activity about each letter together. The class structure will look as follows: - Review of all letters learned so far - Introduction to letter -Teach letter name and sound(s) -Look at pictures of different words that begin with each letter -Teach how to write letter correctly -Give students time to practice tracing the letter and writing it on their own (air writing is also ok) -Letter activities using an interactive powerpoint This class meets once a week! If you would like a class that meets twice a week I do have those listed. We will learn 1 letter each week in this class! In this class students will learn the letter! We will learn the sound, different words beginning with the sound, and how to write or trace the letter!

Supply List
Students can bring a toy that starts with the letter! They can use a pencil and paper, a whiteboard, or air write!

Hi! My name is Jamie! I am a work-at-home mom of 2 little princesses! I graduated from Lock Haven University in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Math for Middle school!
I have always worked with children! While earning my degree I worked in a daycare center. Once graduated I worked in public school! I taugh grades 1 and 2 for a few years and loved it! I later found myself teaching reading for grades k-3 as an intervention teacher; this spoke to my heart!
After having my daughter in 2014 I decided to stay at home and be a full time mom! 2 years ago I started working from home as a 1-on-1 ELS teacher! I love teaching interactive based classes that keep children engaged and active. These are things I will focus my classes around. I hope your child enjoys them as much as I enjoy teaching them!
