This class is an ongoing music class for Kindergarten students. We will learn how to have fun with music, how to develop our musical ears, and practice our music making. Each day will start with a hello song to practice tuneful singing and to help memory development. We will do a beat activity every day and have plenty of dance breaks! The daily activities will range from movement activities, instrument activities, learning new songs, playing musical games, and listening to music. This class is meant to be a fun exploration for young students. The class will have a similar structure every day to create routines for learners. My teaching style is very musical, and your students will be doing a lot of singing! Learners will interact with me throughout the whole lesson as I teach dances, songs, and have them echo singing patterns. There will be some interaction among other students, but most of the time will be focused on group activities led by the teacher. The theme for each week will be different depending on learner interest and ability. Here is a look ahead at some of our weekly themes: Week of February 20: Superhero Singers Week of February 27: Let it Snow Week of March 6: Jungle Safari Week of March 13: Pirate Adventure
Learning Goals
Students will improve their singing voices, become comfortable with movement and music, and gain an excitement for music.
