Kindergarten Math Time
In this ongoing class, students will learn and practice Kindergarten math skills. Each class will begin with calendar skills (days of the week, months of the year, counting and patterning) followed by the skill we are learning each week.

US Grade Kindergarten
This is an ongoing class to review, teach and practice Kindergarten math skills. Each class will begin with a calendar time and then we will work on a different skill during each class. I will use games, songs and hands on activities to teach this class. I believe learning should be fun, as well as educational. Skill and week taught: Week 1- Number Sense - subitizing and writing numbers 0 - 5, number bonds Week 2- Number Sense - subitizing and writing numbers 6 -10, number bonds Week 3 - Shapes - identifying, drawing shapes and learning about shapes Week 4 - Number patterns, tens frame/Sorting and classifying objects by differences and similarities Week 5 - Clocks - identifying parts of a clock and telling time to the hour Week 6 - Graphing - using a bar graph and a pictograph/Coins - identifying coins and how much each coin is worth Week 7 - Addition facats, +1, +2, doubles Week 8 - Subtraction facts, , -1, -2

Teacher Tip:
If you chose to have your child use dice, you may want to place the dice in a plastic container (I use a zip lock food container) so that the dice will stay in your child's learning space.
Some classes will include attached files, which I will add the week of the class.

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.
I graduated with a bachelor degree in education. I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years. I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults. I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages. I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!
I believe that learning should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class. I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience.
In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
