In this live one time class, we will practice counting on from the number 10 up to 20, focusing on teen numbers. We will use ten-frames to continue to count on from 10. Young learners tend to always start at 1 when counting more than 10 items (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13). This class will help learners recognize a group of 10 (full ten-frame) and then be able to count on from 10 to get the total number of items (10 - 11,12,13). This will be taught in an "I do", We do, You do" format. We will use manipulatives for hands-on learning.
Learning Goals
This class will work on one-to-one counting items. Learners will learn to count on from the number 10 when counting items up to 20. This will help for faster counting and less likely for errors when counting items.
