Description

Class Experience

The pirates need your help to search for the buried treasure and escape the deserted island! But hurry....the enemies are coming to search for the treasure too! The pirates will take you on an adventure across the island while using riddles so you know where to look next. Each person or item will bring us to a math question we have to solve in order to move on to the next place to search. Do you think you have what it takes to escape?

At the beginning of class, we will have introductions and...

Learners will practice:
-shape identification
-the characteristics of different shapes (how many sides, corners, etc.)
-making new shapes from two shapes put together
-the difference between solid and flat shapes

Learners will need:
-a whiteboard and marker
OR 
-paper and a pencil

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please make sure your learner knows how to unmute just in case there is background noise and I need to mute them.
