US Grade Kindergarten
Week #1- students will be exposed to number recognition and counting skills. By the end of kindergarten, students are expected to be able to count to 100. We will use a variety of fun games, crafts, and other resources to facilitate these skills. Students will be encouraged to count through the use of manipulative and teacher-guided video lesson. We will play a scavenger hunt game from home where students will be asked to find certain objects in certain quantities.

Week #2- students will learn to determine when a number is bigger or smaller which is a key skill for kindergarten assessments. We will look at how to tell if a number is smaller or larger using manipulatives and visual aids. Students will interact using items they have at home. We will play collaborative games to help practice these skills. We will play "I have....who has..." as a class to practice who has the bigger number. This activity will be used for progress monitoring. Students will also complete a worksheet.

Week #3- students will look at basic addition. Students will work on different ways to make numbers up to ten.
