Join us in this ongoing class as we explore and conquer Kindergarten math objectives together. This class is a great way to practice new and previously learned skills with fun and engaging activities. We will begin class with a mini-lesson on the main topic/objective for the day and have activity/practice time. We will move, talk, and explore math together. In this ongoing class we will work on the Kindergarten objecives below: Ongoing Warm-up Practice - Counting to 100 by ones and by tens Week of September 4th & 11th - writing numbers 1-8, Counting "How many?" using objects/pictures to 10. Week of September 18th & 25th - writing numbers 1-12, Counting forward from a number Week of October 2nd & 9th - writing numbers 1-15, More or less, Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To using objects Week of October 16th & 23rd - writing numbers 1-20, Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To using numbers (1-10) Week of October 30th & Nov. 6th - writing numbers 1-25, Counting "How many?" using objects/pictures to 20. All objectives: - Counting to 100 by ones and by tens. - Counting forward from a given number. - Writing numbers 0 to 20. - Count "How many?" using objects/pictures to 20. - Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To using objects - Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To using numbers (1-10) - Counting to 100 by ones and by tens. - Counting forward from a given number. - Writing numbers 0 to 20. - Count "How many?" using objects/pictures to 20. - Addition with objects, fingers, and drawings - Subtraction with objects, fingers, and drawings - Addition with objects, fingers, drawings, and number lines - Subtraction with objects, fingers, drawings, and number lines - Making 10 from a given number - Describe and compare measurable attributes - Classify and sort objects into categories - Identify and describe 2D & 3D shapes - Analyze, compare, create and compose 2D & 3D shapes - Word Problems using Addition - Word Problems using Subtraction ** This class will continue throughout the school year. **

Hello! My name is Brigitta Voss. I have a passion for kids, teaching, and living a healthy life. I have a degree in Child & Adolescent Development, a teaching credential for elementary education, as well as TESOL and TEFL certifications. I have been an educator for 20 years in many capacities. From school classrooms, online classrooms, and to the outdoors, I have enjoyed inspiring and teaching students of all ages. I would like to help your child become a lifelong learner by creating fun and engaging classes. It is important for me to create a classroom where students feel comfortable taking risks and participating. This will help each and every student make progress and reach their own goals.
I am also a wife, mother of 2, athlete, and coach. In my free time, I love cooking healthy meals, camping, hiking, and mountain biking.
