Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
In this engaging and interactive class, your child will engage in various math activities in this 4-week math journey designed to build a strong foundation in early math skills.

In Part 1, students will dive into the world of numbers and shapes through fun activities, games, and hands-on learning. Each week, we will focus on key concepts. 

My goal is to make math accessible for every child, fostering a love for learning in a supportive and creative environment.

Throughout this course, children will:
Count and Recognize Numbers to 20
Addition within 10
Subtraction within 10
Working with 10 frames, making 10 and decomposing numbers. 

Course will consist of direct teacher instruction via prerecorded videos, math songs via Youtube Kids, and interactive games via Kahoot, Nearpod or Blooket. This course is 4 weeks long and you will have access to teacher communication for 4 weeks. Teacher will respond within 24 hours. 

By the end of Part 1, students will have a solid grasp of these essential math concepts, setting the stage for more advanced learning.

Lesson 1:
Counting, subitizing & number identification
 This lesson will focus on counting up to 20, number identification as well as subitizing (being able to recognize how many without counting all of them) 
Lesson 2:
Addition within 10
 Students will focus on addition within 10 this week through mini lessons and interactive activities. 
Lesson 3:
Subtraction within 10
 Students will focus on subtraction within 10 this week through mini lessons and interactive activities. 
Lesson 4:
Working with 10 frames, making 10, decomposing numbers
 Students will practice using 10 frames as a tool to help them decompose numbers and making 10.
