Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Beginner Level
This on-going class will provide all your child will need to learn phonics, writing, and reading at a K-4 and K-5 level. Your learner will be ready for First Grade when he finishes this course.

We will begin with short-vowel sounds, doing activity sheets in each class time to concrete what is learned. We will then ease into learning the long-vowel sounds, incorporating consonant and vowel blends. The learners will be able to read one- and two-vowel words within a short period of time and will be reading words with special sounds and eventually full sentences.

--We will begin the class with a greeting, then will move right into learning, always in a warm, fun, relaxed atmosphere.
--We will learn fun songs that will help the learner remember what he is learning.
--Games during class time will help the child learn in a fun, pleasant atmosphere.
--Worksheets not completed during class time may be worked outside the classroom and completed in the child's own time.

Week 1: January 8-12 -- Introduction to the letter "I" and "U," (short-vowel sound, recognize them in words)
Week 2: January 15-19 -- Introduction to the letter "A" and "E" (short-vowel sound, recognize them in words)
