Kindergarten Here I Come!

This is a FLEX class meaning students will experience this class through uploaded videos each week. Students will be able to share pictures of their work, comment positively to other students work and communicate with students at their comfort level about what they are learning. At the end of each week, I will check in with students to see how they are doing and if they have any questions for me. 

Come explore the basics that students will need for starting kindergarten! Students will learn letters and their sounds through songs and fun games.  Various handwriting strategies will be used to improve hand strength and letter formation. We will sing songs and recite poetry to learn rhyme and sight words. Each week will focus on 4-5 new letters and 2 sight words. Handouts will be sent each week, scavenger hunt for items around the house will be shared via picture or video and feedback will be given on handwriting and other activities. Extra practice is recommended outside of class, but is not necessary. This course will allow your child to enter kindergarten with confidence!
