Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten
Welcome families! This will be an ongoing class where your learner will gain knowledge in all kindergarten areas! This class is taught by a certified elementary school teacher of 10 years. I spent 1 year teaching 3rd grade, 2 years teaching 1st grade and 7 years teaching kindergarten. Kindergarten is where my heart is!

We will begin each class with an upbeat song, complete our morning greetings/sharing time for each student, explore calendar and then jump right into our learning for the day.
In this ongoing FULL curriculum kindergarten class, students will focus on math and literacy. Here are just some of the topics that we will learn:
Math: calendar terms, patterns, shapes, number recognition, counting, greater than/less than, addition/subtraction, composing/decomposing, measurement, time and more!
Literacy: Sight words, reading comprehension, phonics, rhyming, CVC words, CVCe words, reading on our own and more!

This class will be upbeat, engaging and full of learning. I am a calm and patient teacher who works hard to meet the needs of all learners. Therefore, each week will have a "main topic", but the needs of students will be put above all.

This class is ongoing and you can enroll whenever you choose, even if you didn't attend the previous class.
Students will be provided with printable materials each week. Please have materials readily available.

I look forward to meeting your learner!
