Kindergarten Candy Math (Part 1)
In this 4-day class, learners will use different types of candy to practice Kindergarten math concepts such as counting, grouping, sorting, comparing, graphing, patterns, tally marks, measuring and skip counting.

Description
Class Experience
Learners will: -practice sorting, counting, and grouping -compare numbers and number groups -use data to create graphs -interpret data from graphs -determine and compare lengths -identify, complete and create patterns -look for patterns in every day life -practice skip counting by 10s, 5s, 2s -measure objects of various lengths in inches -use a non-standard unit for measuring
No homework is assigned, but learners are encouraged to continue practicing the math concepts on their own after class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No formal assessment is given. Learners will be given verbal feedback and encouragement throughout class time. Parents are encouraged to message the teacher with any questions about their learner's progress.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
