Class Experience

In this ongoing class students will learn the letters of the alphabet. Each week we will focus on one letter. We will learn the letter name, letter sound, letter formation, and identify different words that begin with the letter. This is a great class for Pre-K or Kindergarten students. Letters are not taught in alphabetical order. Instead letters are taught in order of difficultly. This can actually help your child better remember letter names and sounds.

Students will identify a letter name.
Students will identify a letter sound.
Students will identify words that begin with a letter.
Students will write the uppercase letter.
Students will write the lowercase letter.

I am a certified K-6 teacher. I have taught Kindergarten in the classroom, I currently tutor elementary aged students, and I love teaching students about letters and other phonics skills.

Student may complete the worksheet provided after class for more practice. This homework is recommended but not required.

Students will need:

Paper (preferably handwriting paper)
Pencil
Markers or crayons

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
