US Grade Kindergarten
In this ongoing sight word class for kindergarten, we will practice mastering a list of high-frequency sight words. Each week, we will focus on three new sight words and use visuals, movement, games, and writing to help us learn. We will begin each class by introducing the sight word of the day. After introducing the sight word, we will read a story that incorporates the word. We will read the story together as a class and then engage in an activity related to the word of the day. Since these sight words are frequently used in books, it's important for students to practice and review them consistently throughout the week. This will help them to remember and recognize these words when they encounter them in their independent reading. Whether you're new to the class or a returning student, you're welcome to join any week that piques your interest or come every week to practice all the sight words we'll be reviewing. The class schedule is continuously updated, so keep an eye out for the new sight words we'll be reviewing. Check out the list below for the the sight words we will be practicing for the first four weeks: Week of July 17: what, little, do Week of July 24: have, what, make Week of July 31: Week of August 7:

Hello there! 👋🏻 My name is Brianna Sommer and I'm passionate about teaching young learners! 🍎 I'm a certified teacher with a Master of Teaching degree in Elementary Education and have over four years of experience teaching children between the ages of 5 and 7 in both classroom and virtual settings. My passion lies in nurturing literacy-based skills among children aged 4 to 8, and I am dedicated to creating engaging and interactive learning experiences. In addition to literacy, I also offer a variety of classes that reflect my other passions in drawing, animals, gaming, and more!
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, reading, gaming, or taking my goldendoodle named Dunkin (yes, he's named after Dunkin Donuts!😋🍩) for long walks.
