Other Details

Parental Guidance
For the first 2 minutes of class, we will be doing limited body movement (either making a letter shape with our bodies while standing in place OR a simple, kid-friendly animal themed yoga pose). Please make sure your learner is supervised during this small physical activity portion, and has an adequate and safe space to do this. This can help prevent any potential injuries. Providing kinesthetic, or movement, to learning can not only help make it more fun, but it can also help make educational concepts stick!
Supply List
A 2-page handout (can print front & back to make it 1 page) will be provided on the classroom wall prior to class if your learner would like to complete it.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
With my Elementary Gen. Ed. & Special Ed. Degree, along with my Speech and Language Assistant Certification, I offer class that fuse speech with education. I believe the development of these skills are so closely intertwined, therefore I hope to use my expertise to provide a multi-disciplinary approach with all my learners! When I was a virtual special education teacher, much of what I did was providing interactive, online interventions for small groups to help strengthen their foundational skills in reading and math.
