Kinder-Craze Circle Time - Movement, Sharing, Letters, Sounds, Shapes, and More!
In this fun, engaging and interactive, ongoing class, we will be learning in a morning meeting and circle time style! We will have movement at the beginning of class to allow our brains to be activated, learn a letter of the day, review letter sounds for that given letter, discuss shapes and/or number words, and have calendar time where we will discuss the month and day each lesson. Learners will be exposed to a variety of Kindergarten standards to propel them forward successfully!

Hey there potential parents and learners! In this interactive ongoing class, we will be meeting each day of the week for 30 minutes to have a morning meeting style type class! Each meeting, excluding share and show-and-tell Fridays, we will have a letter of the day, review that specific letter sound, talk about shapes, color words, number words, and also have calendar time where we talk about the day of the week and the month. We will cover topics ranging from letters and sounds, math topics, have movement each day, and also address life skills with our question of the day. Monday-Thursday we will begin with introductions and set expectations. We will then move onto our movement for the day. This could be 20 jumping jacks or a dance that reviews letters and sounds or a specific skill being taught. After that, we will have our calendar time, discussing the day and the month. Then, I will introduce our letter of the day and the sound it goes with. I will model, then the learners will get to practice. We will also discuss color words, number words, or shapes, depending on the day. We will also have counting and/or a math skill. Fridays will be a day for the learners to interact more with show and tell! I am a very hands on teacher and know that while children learn content from me, they also learn from each other! I also love forming relationships with my students and know that relationships allow for the learning to begin and continue! I love to model new content being taught so that my learners and students can see visually how to do what I am teaching! Learners will be able to interact at the beginning of each day during the introduction and also throughout the lesson. They will have the majority of the class to interact on Fridays during show and tell. Learners will constantly be interacting with me throughout the lessons each day.

As an experienced and current classroom teacher, I have an Undergraduate degree in English Literature with a minor in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee Knoxville as well as a Masters degree in Teacher Education specializing in Urban Multicultural Education.
I have taught both Kindergarten and Third Grade for a total of 7 years, but I have experience with all ages of elementary school through 6th grade. I absolutely love all of the content for elementary and plan to gage my classes to be geared to engaging children with sight words, letter and sound recognition, number words, color words, multiplication facts, fractions, fiction and nonfiction book studies, and much more! There’s so much joy I find in the content of elementary curriculum, and it sets the foundation for an incredible journey of learning!
I have the strong belief that children learn their absolute best through building strong relationships and develop the love of learning through engaging lessons and activities. I love it when students begin to understand a new topic or the light bulb comes on! I know that as a teacher I am also a lifelong learner, and I love being able to learn new things each and every day.
I have a love of fitness and overall wellness! I hope to someday develop classes geared towards overall health, eating habits, and wellness for children as it is something I am passionate about and am continuing to also learn more about each day!
