Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
Are you looking for a fun, engaging class to add to your child's routine? Our Morning Meeting will provide a introduction to key concepts covered in Pre-K and Kindergarten. This is an interactive class that incorporates a mix of slides, songs, and movement to keep little learners engaged.

We will cover a variety of topics each class! Here is our daily schedule for Monday-Thursday:

1. Greetings
2. Calendar: We go over the calendar and sing the Days of The Week song.
3. Weather Graph: Each student shares their weather for the day. We graph the results and use the opportunity to discuss more/less and addition
4. Number Talk: Students answer a daily math question. We talk about how they solved to problem.
5. Mini-lesson: On Mondays & Wednesdays we have reading lessons focused on letter sounds, and on Tuesdays & Thursdays we focus on math topics.
6. Sight words: We will practice two sight words each week.
7. Shared Reading Poem

On "Fun Friday" each week we will begin class with show and tell! We will then have a science lesson and I will show the students a quick experiment at then end of class.

My favorite part of teaching is building relationships! I strive to create a positive, relaxed environment where we can learn and have fun. The lessons are presented using a combination of google slides, discussion, and movement actvities. I do not require students to mute, but I will mute students if there is distracting background noise. It is helpful for students to know how to mute/unmute themselves. I encourage students to ask questions and participate. This class works well as an English immersion class too!

Students do not need to bring any supplies to class. I post a weekly packet in the classroom of printable worksheets and activities that reinforce the topics of the week. These activities are completely optional!

Each week is an independent unit and does not require previous knowledge. You may start and end class at any time! Here are the topics for each week:
