Class Experience

Get a fun workout while moving to your favorite KidzBop and 80's pop songs. This Zumba inspired workout uses street style, Hip Hop, Latin Dance, and Jazz dance moves to get a fun cardio workout. No dance experience is required. This not a choreography class. Students will focus on getting a workout while dancing to great KidzBop and Pop songs. At the start of each class the instructor will ask if anyone has a song they would like to hear. Then we'll get moving. With each song, students will be asked to follow a pattern of two moves done in a pattern of four. We'll repeat the moves and vary between moving slow, fast, and slow again, thus allowing kids to go at a speed that feels comfortable for them.

Of course, everyone is welcome to sing along to their favorite jam.

Dance moves are not modified from the original choreography. While our instructor has selected choreography that we feel is age appropriate we understand that age appropriateness may vary from family to family. If your family has any content concerns please watch the music video for each song before registering for this class. Physical Advisory: This class involves physical movement. If your child is dancing on a wooden floor, shoes may be ideal as it helps with spins. Wearing just socks might result in slipping. If your child is dancing on a carpet, socks or shoes may be ideal for spinning. Ideally the dance space will be at least feet 3-4 feet wide and free of obstruction. Participants have been known to dance in living rooms, bedrooms, and any other space that allows arms to be extended out to the side. By registering for this class it is understood that each family has considered the space the child is moving in and it's appropriateness for a movement based activity. By registering for this class it is understood that the instructor is not responsible for injuries that may result from participation including injuries that may result from children not following directions. Injuries may include, bumps or bruises (example: a kid spins and falls down), fractures/ sprains/ broken limbs (example: a kid chooses not to follow instruction and tries to do a back flip). By registering for this class it is understood that each family has considered the physical health of their child and has taken into consideration any restrictions on movement that a family physician has advised. While most movement is not vigorous enough to upset an individuals asthma, we respect that each individual has different physical abilities. Children are encouraged to stop any movement that causes physical or emotional pain.
