Class Experience
In Writing and Grammar for Youngsters, we practice the four-square method to learn about main ideas, details, and summaries. We also study the proper way to build a sentence with correct capitalization and punctuation. By using topics that are interesting to them, kids learn that writing doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming, and that it CAN be easy! Students will be introduced to elementary grammar concepts and parts of speech, as well as writing practice.
Though time will be given in class, some students may need to spend about 15 minutes outside of class to complete their writing assignments.
Paper and writing utensil, or computer for typing their assignments
