Join us for our Kids Mindful Movement Class, a dynamic and engaging experience designed to help children ages 6-12 explore the connection between their bodies and minds while having fun! Over the course of this hour-long class, participants will dive into the world of mindfulness through movement, play, and creativity.

What Will Be Taught?
In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of mindfulness and its importance in their daily lives. We will explore various yoga poses, practice mindful breathing techniques, and engage in imaginative movement activities that promote physical health and emotional well-being. Children will also discover how to express themselves through movement, building confidence and self-awareness.

Topics Covered:

Mindfulness Fundamentals: Understanding what mindfulness is and why it matters.
Yoga Poses: Learning fun and easy poses that improve flexibility and strength.
Breathing Techniques: Practicing calming breaths to help manage stress and anxiety.

Class Structure:
Each class begins with a brief introduction and warm-up, followed by a series of guided yoga poses and breathing exercises. We will incorporate fun games that reinforce the mindfulness concepts introduced. Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Misti Zablosky, and I’m so excited to be part of this class! I teach at a university where I help students learn about how to live healthy lives and help others do the same. I’m also the director of cancer exercise program, where I focus on keeping people active and feeling their best through fun and healthy activities.

I have a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and when I’m not teaching, I love exercising, spending time outdoors, and learning new things. Some of my favorite activities include mindful movement, which is a fun way to move our bodies that helps us stay calm and strong.

I believe that staying healthy can be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to explore everything we’re going to learn together. Let’s have an awesome time!
