Description
Class Experience
Students will be introduced to the 3 R's; reduce, reuse, recycle. Students will learn some basic environmental issues (soil health, habitat health). Students will work together to develop a plan for their recycling project including the design of their bin.
Students will spend the week recycling items that are used in the home. They do not need to recycle every single item, but can if they wish.
One large box Crayons, markers, colored pencils, anything to color with! Paint and paintbrush (optional) Items for decorating: pompoms, glitter, yarn or ribbon Glue, tape Scissors From recycling project (2-3 items): Aluminum cans Glass jars Plastic food containers Toilet paper/paper towel rolls Plastic cups Egg cartons Small boxes
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may want to present with use of scissors, glue, or tape.
