Class experience
In this weekly drawing club, young artists will practice drawing people and telling stories through their artwork. Each week we will begin by drawing a person together - sometimes standing, sometimes sitting down, and sometimes running. Young artists will be invited to use their imagination to tell a story about this person - where are they? What are they doing? As we do that, we will be adding a setting and details to our drawings, as well as coloring them, with each learner making some of...
Learners will improve their understanding of drawing the human body. Students will learn the age appropriate basics of anatomy: parts of the body, bones and joints. Students will use gross motor skills to act out movements, and spatial skills to transfer the movements to a 2-d surface. Students will use their imagination to tell a story through their drawings.

I will be looking at student artwork throughout the class to check for understanding and provide feedback.Grades Offered
Learners will need basic school/art supplies: unlined paper (copy paper or a sketchpad), sharpened #2 pencils, erasers, coloring materials of choice (markers, crayons or coloring pencils are all fine).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
