How Outschool Works
Don't see a time that works for you?
Snacks, desserts, drinks, and other types of food...we try it all! Our young chefs will make a different dish each week from kid-friendly recipes. As we go through each recipe step-by-step, I will provide a demonstration of how to use the tools and ingredients. Throughout the class, cooking and baking basics, such as measuring ingredients, cutting, and mixing, will be covered. Younger children will need adult assistance. Week of October 2nd: bread, butter, garlic powder, dried parsley, sauce, shredded cheese, pizza toppings 9th: butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, flour, salt, jam 16th: toast, cream cheese, peanut butter, almond slices, banana slices, blueberries 23rd: apple, peanut butter, Goldfish crackers 30th: crescent roll dough, hot dogs, cheese slices, mustard or ketchup (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance may be required when the learner is using a knife, the stove, or the oven.
